Provides cool humidified air and REQUIRES ventilation. There must be air flow for this process to work. Air is cooled through the process of evaporation. As air is drawn through the water pads, cooling is accomplished as the water pads cooling is accomplished as the water evaporates - taking the heat with it. This process generally provides 8 - 12 degrees of cooling in humid environments and up to 20 degrees in dryer climates. The more humid it is, the less the cooling.
